Yoo Yeon Seok’s newest movie “Beauty Inside” is doing fairly well despite not topping the box office. The avant grade romantic comedy flick is expected to draw in more viewers in the week to come.
Beauty Inside debuted in second place at Korean box office as it brought in 114,401 admissions on the opening day alone. The movie continued to perform well throughout the weekend of 21 to 23 August 2015, retaining the second spot with 486,209 admissions. With the accummulative admission of 629,820 in four days after its premiere based on the statistic released by Korean Film Biz Zone, the movie rounded up the Top 3 at weekly box office just behind “Veteran” and “Assassination”.
To help promoting his movie, Yoo Yeon Seok appeared during the stage greeting on 22 August 2015. Donning in blue checkered shirt and matching jeans, he greeted fans and audience with Director Baek and co-stars Han Hyo Joo, Lee Dong Hwi and Lee Jin Wook. Much to our joy, not only he himself uploaded a picture during the stage greeting into his instagram, officials photos from NEW and Lotte Cinema were also released. Director Baek also uploded a slow motion video of all four stars on his instagram.
During the stage greeting, he was seen receiving flower bouquet and sea seal plush toy. He also took a picture together with the audience. Taking a group picture seems to be the mood of the day as a the cast members were revelead to take a picture together in a bus, showing the love sign. Still with the bus background, Yoo Yeon Seok was also pictured holding a Han Hyo Joo Beauty Inside card to mark an event where fans were asked to upload the card(s) they got from watching Beauty Inside in CGV, Lotte Cinema and Mega Box.
Prior to the 20 August release, Yoo Yeon Seok sit with Han Hyo Joo, Chun Woo Hee and Park Seo Joon for an interview with KBS Entertainment Weekly. Following its domestic release, ‘Beauty Inside’ is set to debut at North America cinemas on 11 September 2015.
