[WE KID] Blue Team Won Best Kid Song, Yoo Yeon Seok Joined Group Performance

Get your tissue ready, cause there will be no more crybaby teacher Yoo Yeon Seok and his wonderful Blue Team singing you lullaby on weekly basis.

MNet’s show, WeKid, officially ended its run with the airing of episode 8 on 7 April 2016. Staying true to its purpose, the show ends with each team performing an original children song. Yoo Yeon Seok’s Blue Team performed a song composed by composer Yoon Il Sang titled ” The World that I Hope / 내가 바라는 세상”. Yoo Yeon Seok joins his students on stage, surprising everyone (particulary Park Bo Young) as his musical voice blends well with the children’s.

The team garnered a whopping 89% of children’s votes and 85% of adult’s votes for this particular performance. With such high approval rate, the team is declared a winner of Best Kid Song at the end of the show. The kids look so happy, as well as their mentors.

All good thing sadly has to come an end. Yoo Yeon Seok and Yoon Il Sang have to bid farewell to their beloved Blue Team. All of them look sad, especially Myeong Bin and Ye Eum who were seen sobbing uncontrollably. Yoo Yeon Seok himself shed some tears while bidding goodbye, telling them how much he love them. He gifted each kid with a baseball cap that Myeong Bin revealed in her instagram.

Yoo Yeon Seok Surprised Haha with His Request on Running Man

In his special 4-minute stint in Running Man episode 293 that airs on 03 April 2016, Yoo Yeon Seok caught Haha off guard with his request.

Initially Haha was confident that Yoo Yeon Seok is a kind person that is different from his labelmate from King Kong Ent – Lee Kwang Soo the mischievous giraffe and that he would help him complete his mission easily. Haha Haha (pun intended). Haha sure was wrong.

After meeting him, Yoo Yeon Seok asks Haha to shave his chin in 10 seconds. Haha looks so surprised and flabbergasted with Yoo Yeon Seok’s request, he curses the Chilbongie actor many times. kekekekeke… It doesn’t help really that Yoo Yeon Seok came to meet Haha all prepared with an electronic shaver.  Poor Haha doesn’t realise that this trap was set behind the scene by Kwang Soo. HA!

Of course, Haha needs to say yes so he can get Yoo Yeon Seok to stamp his mission card. Haha shaves as fast as he can, leaving Yoo Yeon Seok cackling like rebellious kid who is watching his well laid-out plan works out. When he later sees that Haha doesn’t have a clean chin, he helped him out just because he is meticulous. Does he really need to add the salt into the wound?

Needless to say, Haha completes his mission accordingly and Yoo Yeon Seok needs to stamp his card mission. Stamp. Vote. Ring a bell? Yes, this meticulous ajusshi managed to ask Haha to watch his movie that opens on Election Day before putting on his stamp. Of course, this turns Haha into a ball of fire, shouting at Yoo Yeon Seok to just stamp his mission card already. Hahahaha…

[WEKID] (Eng Sub) Yoo Yeon Seok’s Blue Team Sings ‘Goodbye’ for Harmony Battle

The flowers of children’s song that everyone love have blossomed!!

Yoo Yeon Seok’s Blue Team has assembled its musical talents and they are: Milkboy Kwak Yi An (8), Musical lover Hong Eui Hyun (11), Returned kid Park Ye Eun (9), Rap baby Lee Harang (6), Little devoted daughter Choi Myeon Bin (9), and Vitamin girl Choi Ye Na (9).

When they introduced themselves, they also introduced a nickname for their handsome teacher. Yoo Yeon Seok is now officially called ‘crybaby teacher’. Simply because he sheds tears too many times. Not a sad tears, mind you. They are happy tears. d awwww…

For Blue Team’s first performance, Yoo Yeon Seok chose an old song from Sanulrim titled “goodbye”. He said that he liked the song alot when he was a kid. Yoo Yeon Seok admitted of crying whenever he watches the movie in which this song is played. He still has it on his mobile phone and played it for staff member. [WEKID] Introducing Teacher Yoo Yeon Seok’s Blue Team

Are you religiously watching Yoo Yeon Seok’s variety show “WEKID” that is currently airing on MNet / TvN? If you haven’t watched it, we would like to recommend you to check it out because the children in this show are so ready to steal your heart or to make you shed some tears.

Yoo Yeon Seok and composer Yoo Il Sang join forces to form the Blue Team. In each episode, each child singer sings in front of a large audience that are separated into adult and child group. If the candidate won the votes from both adult and child  groups, he/she will be able to choose the mentor of their liking. However, if the candidate got the vote only from either group in the audience, the mentors will decide whether they want lure them into their team or not.

Following the airing of the 3rd episode, 5 kids are on board Yoo Yeon Seok’s blue team. Let’s meet them one by one .

Unlike other singing competition, this show is not about eliminating candidates and searching for the best singer out there. It is more about a friendly competition in creating children’s songs together where children take part in a festival environment. According to the chief producer Kim Yong-beom during press conference, the first-place team receives a prize from the Education minister and a scholarship.

Producer Kim also said an interesting tidbit on the selection of Yoo Yeon Seok, Park Bo Young and Tiger JK as mentors. Quoted from an article by Koreaherald, MNet brought in the three celebrities because they show sincere interest in music and the children, both on and off camera. Looking at the photos shared by Lee Harang and Hong Eui Hyun, MNet’s claim is not too far off. As broadcaster, MNet joins the BlueTeam bandwagon by releasing many pictures of Blue Team to our delight. The pictures were taken from the upcoming choir battle. Yoo Yeon Seok was seen sitting among his students and hugged them as well. We don’t know yet the event behind the passionate shoulder gangsters hug, so make sure you catch episode 4 of WEKID.

Another tidbits from the preview of next episode, Yoo Yeon Seok and his team will go to some sort of a boot camp. They will be singing under the snow while walking together through the forest. What a lovely scene.. but as any other team in the world, they will face some challenges and adversaries. Yoo Yeon Seok is seen attending Choi Myeong Bin who is crying. Then he looks completely stress out during practice. What is actually happening? And will they do well in the choir battle?

[WEKID] Introducing Teacher Yoo Yeon Seok

After briefly telling the whole wide world just how Yoo Yeon Seok is defeated by the children, WEKID makes sure that we are now properly introduced to the so-called innocent pacifist  teacher.

“If I have problem with children, I think I’ll solve it with communication. Won’t it be settled? Hahaha”

“An innocent pacifist Yoo Yeon Seok”, who believes that any problem can be solved with calm conversation.

A Jinju boy who is also a former choir member when he was young. He has been working actively on screen and now, in musical stage where he has to sing 29 songs. A music gangster who is  full of twist, Yoo Yeon Seok!

A pacifist who is confident that any problem can be solved with communication and serious problem can be settled by “role playing”; a huge test approaches him.

Unexpected situation happened. Can he peacefully manage 18 kids who keep making troubles with communication and role playing methods? Or maybe that day will become the day when Yoo Yeon Seok who lives as a pacifist finally exploded?

Yoo Yeon Seok is one of the teachers in WEKID alongside Park Bo Young and Tiger JK. In the second preview featuring Park Bo Young, we are shown the striking difference in the children’s response to Yoo Yeon Seok and Park Bo Young. While Park Bo Young managed to grab the attention of the children to the point that they won’t even want to let her go, Yoo Yeok Seok stands at the opposite end.

Question is, will their method of teaching bring any difference to the children’s performance on stage? Or will we ever get to see the pacifist shoulder gangster explode?

[20160205] Teacher Yoo Yeon Seok Is Defeated by the Children in ‘WEKID’ Preview

If you think that Yoo Yeon Seok will have a walk in the park during the shooting of MNet’s new music show ‘WEKID’, then think again.

In the show’s preview released on 5 February, it’s pretty obvious that the children was excited to have a handsome teacher at first. But seconds later, they ignored him completely. When he asked the children to concentrate for 5 minutes, that plea was ignored as well. The children kept on asking him to gift them present. The kids are also quite oblivious of his instruction to stop moving when he claps his hand.

He retreated from the class sweating, a clear sign of struggle and to some extent, defeat. Definitely, whatever child psychology theory he presented to the staff that earned him ‘child expert label’ went to drain in real life. Yet, the kids are shown performing very well on stage, even brought Yoo Yeon Seok to tears.

[20160111] Yoo Yeon Seok in Please Take Care of my Refrigerator (+Netizen Comments & Raw Videos)

On Monday night, Ep. 61 of JTBC’s Please Take Care of My Refrigerator episode which Yoo Yeon Seok and Moon Chae Won guest in was aired (He was in the previous episode as well but the episode was featuring on Moon Chae Won’s fridge)

Moon Chae Won mentioned her hobby of reading palms and the chefs one by one went to get their hands read. She read about “Byeontaesong” line which make a chef perplexed thinking it meant that he is a pervert, lol. But Moon Chae Won explained that “byeontaesong” isn’t really a bad thing like pervert, but more like an emotional factor that makes relationship fun (special thanks to Tokkipanda for the explanation! ♡). And it seems like Yoo Yeon Seok’s “byeontaesong” level was the highest of them all? Ahaha.

Chef Hong asked Moon Chae Won how does Yoo Yeon Seok’s lips feel like and that set both of them awkward. haha. But Moon Chae Won mentioned that she was actually having a cold when they shoot the kissing scenes in Mood of the Day. She had to take medicines, went to do the scene and kiss him, took medicine again, before kissing him again. She didn’t want to pass the cold to Yoo Yeon Seok.

And now onto his fridge!

It was fun to see the content of Yoo Yeon Seok’s fridge. It was full, filled with food and love from his mom, his fans as well as Hojun ❤

Look at those side dishes from his mom, healthy drinks and food for his vocal health in cute jars from his fans, and a bottle of Ugandan honey that Hojun gifted him. And as expected of him, his fridge is well organised.

Aside from food, he stored polaroid films and facial masks in his fridge too! xD

He mentioned that him and Hojun frequently go to each other’s house. When asked about the bottle of Kopke Porto Wine in his fridge, he mentioned that he, Hojun and Baro drank a 3 years old wine together and the boys love it so much. After the drinking session, he went to sleep leaving the boys on their own. Hojun took out the 20 years old wine and they both drank a lot of the wine, without him.  lol

He requested the chefs to prepare dishes that is healthy for the first round, and then dishes that go well with wine for the second round. He loves the first dish not only because it is healthy, but it is also unique. He also commented that he couldn’t guess where the dishes come from. It feels like he’s on travel and that he doesn’t need to travel to taste dishes like that.

Looks like he enjoyed the food prepared by the chefs so much, especially the Onion Chicken Steak by Chef Sam Kim ♡ And he even took polaroid photos of the chefs as well ❤
